Melancholische glitter en plastic verdriet
melancholic glitter and plastic sadness
installation for graduation research assignment (2017)
The impossibility between the words melancholic, glitter, plastic and sadness.
That friction came together in a space of pink and nostalgia, with a dismal presence.
'Over een zoektocht naar een onmogelijke schuilplek. Over stikken. Over waarom een glitterjurk eigenlijk iets heel zieligs is.
Over waarom verdriet roze is. Over wat een plastic kutding van de Action met je kan doen op 24-jarige leeftijd. Over gênant veel glitter.
Over je desalniettemin niet schamen over de hoeveelheid glitter. Over my little pony en al haar vrienden.
Over hersenen die je uit elkaar kan trekken als een bol wol. Over gezichten die niks meer te zeggen hebben. Over een sprankelende ten ondergang.'
DISINTERGRATION
DISINTEGRATION/ Sadness is pink (2017)
A research on sadness
how it looks and what you become when you let it take over
These images are crying faces, pulled apart using an app called 'layout'
Who are you when you are sad?
What are you when you're out of sadness, when it's all you have been
Does sadness ever run out or does it spread like bacteria?
How to express numbness? Emptiness?
When you are so full and so empty at thesame time, what do you consist of?

No place to hide (2018)

A short film about a person with drawn eyes and drawn lips.
Almost everything in her world is normal, except the things she uses; the objects that are personal.
Her expressionless face alienates her from her surroundings and therefore displays a form of loneliness.
